The quietly released Huawei P Smart Plus (2019) looks like two drops of water on its predecessor. The biggest upgrade is the triple camera. The device costs 279 euros.
Huawei P Smart Plus 2019 official
Most phones are launched with a lot of grandeur, but not the Huawei P Smart Plus (2019). The device has suddenly appeared on the website of the Chinese manufacturer.
In terms of design, the smartphone looks like two drops of water on its predecessor, the P Smart Plus from last year. Yet the biggest upgrade can be found on the outside. The triple camera has a primary lens of 24 megapixels, a wide angle lens with 16 megapixels and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Thanks to these extra sensors you can easily create panoramas and shoot bokeh portraits. Here the environment is blurred. In addition, Huawei added ‘Night Mode’, so that the sensors receive more light in the night hours.
The 8-megapixel selfie camera has automatic scene recognition, so you always look good. The first Huawei P Smart, which came out in 2018, only had a dual camera at the back.
Furthermore, the 2019 edition has a shiny casing, the 6.21-inch screen with full HD resolution and water droplet-notch at the top. The back offers space for a fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, he still charges via micro-USB, which is a lot less fast and modern than USB-c.
The Huawei P Smart Plus (2019) is controlled by a Kirin 710 chip with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Remarkably, he has less memory than his predecessor. The P Smart (2018) was equipped with 4GB RAM.
The device runs on EMUI 9, Huawei’s own skin based on Android 9.0 (Pie). The 3400 mAh battery provides enough power, in theory, to be able to use the P Smart (2019) all day without having to recharge. It appears in two colors: blue and black.
The Huawei P Smart Plus (2019) has a suggested retail price of 279 euros, which is a few dozen less than its predecessor. It is not yet known when the device is in stores.
