On May 14, OnePlus is likely to unveil its new flagship. Under the title ‘Go Beyond Speed’ not only is the OnePlus 7 presented, but the OnePlus 7 Pro is also shown to the world. That is what a generally entered insider on Twitter says.
OnePlus 7 at the Go Beyond Speed event
The date of 14 May was announced on Twitter by Ishan Agarwal, an insider who regularly publishes information about more devices. He not only published an image that confirms the upcoming event but has also said he has checked it with his own sources. According to him, OnePlus is showing a series of devices at the # GoBeyondSpeed event. As far as known, it consists of the OnePlus 7 and the more expensive OnePlus 7 Pro.
It was already expected that the new OnePlus flagships would come into being somewhere around mid-May. That is traditionally the time when the Chinese manufacturer presents his new devices. Now we can actually record the date on our agenda. Although with unofficial information it is of course always good to have a little fuss.
OnePlus 7 with extendable camera
Whether there is much new to be revealed by the manufacturer is questionable. Previously leaked information already reveals a lot about the devices. Much is already known about the OnePlus 7. Leaked renders were already telling a lot about the appearance and the specifications are largely known. The device has an extendable front camera. The motorized selfie camera ensures that the 6.47-inch AMOLED screen fills the entire front of the device. That way OnePlus does not need a notch or camera hole. The Galaxy S10, for example, has such a gap in the screen.
The device will probably have three cameras on the back. The main camera has a 48-megapixel sensor. In addition, the device has a 20-megapixel wide-angle camera, with which you can view more of the surroundings at once. The third camera is an 8-megapixel depth sensor, which should primarily help the main camera to distinguish between foreground and background.
Further leaked specifications also sound impressive. This device has the fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB of memory and a 4000 mAh battery that must be sufficiently charged within 30 minutes for a day of use.
More expensive OnePlus 7 Pro also on 14 May
Given the specifications, the OnePlus 7 is a remarkably pricey device for the Chinese manufacturer. Those who want to spend even more can probably go for the OnePlus 7 Pro, which can also be seen on 14 May. This more expensive variant of the smartphone has 5G and a curved screen as an extra. Many other differences, apart from the price tag, are as yet unknown.
