5G and foldable smartphones are the trends of 2019. Huawei has decided to combine these two in the Mate X, a very striking device. We could already look at it in Barcelona.
Huawei Mate X preview
After Samsung recently presented the Galaxy Fold, now also rival Huawei comes with a foldable device. The Huawei Mate X does something different. Samsung puts a screen in front, and then another display on the inside that you can unfold. At Huawei, the screen is on the outside.
The new device can be found on the exhibition floor of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Touch is not yet available: we were only allowed to admire the foldable smartphone from a distance. Mate X for sale this summer
Starting this summer, the Huawei Mate X is for sale in different countries. The device does have a very solid recommended price of no less than 2299 euros. Huawei has not yet announced whether the device will also be sold in the United States. That is still the question because the first 5G network is only available from the beginning of 2020. You, therefore, have little to that 5G support for the Mate X.
