The Huawei P Smart Plus 2019, which recently quietly appeared on the website of the Chinese manufacturer, is also coming to the United States. A web store has included the smartphone in its range and will sell it for 259 euros.

Huawei has not yet officially announced the release of the P Smart Plus (2019) in the United States, but the smartphone can already be found at web store Belsimpel. Belsimpel mentions a suggested retail price of 259 euros and says it can deliver the phone within 5 to 7 days. That would mean that the new P Smart Plus will be available from next. The device comes in two colors: black and with a blue gradient.
The Huawei P Smart Plus (2019) is the successor to the P Smart Plus and a somewhat odd man out. The device is in fact almost identical to its predecessor, except for one important difference.
The 2019 edition has three cameras at the rear, with a primary lens of 24 megapixels, a wide-angle lens with 16 megapixels and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The latter is used to make portrait photos. Thanks to the extra sensors you can easily create panoramas and shoot nicer bokeh portraits.

Furthermore, the smartphone has remained almost the same compared to the budget device that was released last year. The screen is a fraction smaller at 6.21 inches and the notch has become narrower. The screen resolution is again 2340 by 1080 pixels and under the hood is another Kirin 710 chip with 3GB of memory and 64GB of storage.
Out of the box the phone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with the EMUI skin from Huawei. At the back, there is a fingerprint scanner, at the front an 8-megapixel front camera with face recognition. The battery is 3400 mAh, but charging is unfortunately via an outdated micro-USB port.
With a price of 279 euros, the Huawei P Smart Plus (2019) is apparently cheaper than its predecessor, which was placed on the shelves last year for 349 euros. However, the smartphone is slightly more expensive than the P Smart (2019), which you currently purchase for less than 200 euros. Remarkably enough, the P Smart Plus from 2018 is also still being sold for around 220 euros. The original P Smart is also still available.
