A little later than expected, Huawei comes with the Huawei P30 Lite official, an affordable smartphone with a number of features that we also see on its more expensive brothers – the P30 and P30 Pro. The device can be purchased in the United States from 10 May.
Huawei P30 Lite official for sale in the United States
Initially, it was thought that Huawei would launch the P30 Lite together with the normal P30 and P30 Pro, but the manufacturer decided to wait a while. Huawei has today confirmed the United States release of the smartphone: the device can be purchased here from 10 May at a suggested retail price of 369 euros. If you order between April 22 and May 10, you will receive a set of FreeBuds Lite for free. These wireless earphones normally cost 119 euros.
The Huawei P30 Lite looks like the more expensive P30 and P30 Pro due to the front-filling screen and small water drop-notch, but of course, has less powerful hardware. Still, the smartphone is nice and smooth with its Kirin 710 chip and 4GB of working memory, with a lot of storage with 128GB. The screen is 6.15 inches in size and has a resolution of 2312 by 1080 pixels, which is great at this size.
Interestingly, the Huawei has three cameras at the back. It is a primary lens of 48 megapixels with an aperture of f / 1.8, a wide-angle lens of 8 megapixels to take wide shots and a 2-megapixel depth sensor that helps with taking portrait photos. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel front camera for your selfies and for video calling.

At the back is also the fingerprint scanner, which is integrated into the screen of the P30 and P30 Pro. Furthermore, the battery of the P30 Lite with 3340 mAh is a bit smaller, although this should still be sufficient for a full day of use. Fast charging is available via the included USB-C adapter. The smartphone runs out of the box on Android 9.0 (Pie) with Huawei’s EMUI skin. It is unclear whether this is the newest version: EMUI 9.1.
