In these three ways, the Huawei P30 screens are improving

Improvements of Huawei P30 screens

Probably the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro get a nice screen upgrade. The panels seem to advance in the following three ways:

  1. Larger screens
  2. Smaller notch
  3. Both devices get an OLED screen

The two new smartphones have, according to the latest rumors, a 6.1 inch and a 6.5-inch screen respectively. The predecessors, the P20 and P20 Pro, had a 5.8 inch and a 6.1-inch screen respectively. Huawei P30 Pro

The larger screens are possible due to the disappearance of the large notch at the top of the screen. Instead, Huawei seems to opt for a drop for the selfie camera. And while the P20 had an LCD screen and the P20 Pro an OLED screen, the new smartphones may both have an OLED screen.

More P30 rumors

The screens are not the only upgrade for the new Huawei flagships. Earlier rumors already stated that the devices get impressive cameras. The P30 probably gets three cameras at the back, with the Sony IMX600 as the primary sensor. According to rumors, the P30 Pro gets no less than four cameras, with better optical zoom.

Part of the camera panel of the P30 Pro is the Sony IMX607 image sensor, up to 38 megapixels.

In addition, both devices seem to be powered by the Kirin 980 chip, with 8GB RAM for the P30 and no less than 12GB RAM for the P30 Pro. The P30 does not seem to have a standard headphone connection, but it is not yet known how it is with the P30 Pro. The devices run from the box on EMUI 9.1, based on Android 9.0 (Pie).
