Show photos Moto G7 Plus with a small notch and super fast charge function

Motorola Moto G7 PlusAlthough the presentation of the Motorola Moto G7 phones is still a short wait, almost everything has already leaked. New leaked photos show the design of the Motorola Moto G7 Plus, which has a modest notch in the screen.

The photos are published by website 91Mobiles and show the Moto G7 Plus from different angles. For example, we see the large screen, which reportedly measures 6.24 inches and has narrower edges. There is a notch present, which has the shape of a water drop. In that notch is the selfie camera processed, as well as various sensors. The water droplet-notch seems to be slightly deeper than the notch of, for example, the OnePlus 6T, which is more subtle.

The screen has fairly thinner edges, with only a decent ‘chin’ at the bottom. At the back are the fingerprint scanner and dual camera. The software looks – like with previous Moto G devices – very simplistic and almost stock-Android. Motorola only makes a few adjustments to Android and also delivers its own Moto app. Obviously, the G7 Plus runs on Android Pie.

Super fast charging and optical image stabilization

Other photos, which have been shared by the Portuguese website Tudocelular, show that the Moto G7 Plus can charge super fast. On images from the packaging, you can see that the supplied TurboPower charger has a maximum power of 27 watts. That is a lot more than the current fast chargers from Motorola and reveals that the Moto G7 Plus can charge much faster than most smartphones in this price range.

Optical image stabilization is also mentioned on the packaging. This stabilization probably makes the camera of the Moto G7 Plus a lot better, because motion blur when making a photo or video is filtered out. That is nice if you have trembling hands but also helps to make sharper images in low-light situations.

Specifications and price

A lot has been leaked over the Moto G7 series in recent weeks and the specifications of the G7 Plus are already known. Reportedly, the smartphone has a Snapdragon 636 chip, which is assisted by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The latter can also be further expanded with a micro SD card.

There is also a 3000 mAh battery under the bonnet, which can be quickly recharged via the USB port. The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor, on the back are two camera lenses of 16 and 5 megapixels respectively.

It seems that the Moto G7 Plus is considerably more expensive than its predecessor, the Moto G6 Plus. Smartphone charger Ishan Agarwal talks about a suggested retail price of 360 euros, while the G6 Plus last year for 299 euros appeared in stores. On 7 February we will know what the final price will be because then Motorola will organize an event in Brazil to present its latest phones.
