Type Siri questions instead of pronouncing
Siri is a voice aid, but you can also ask questions by typing. All you have to do is activate the function in the settings. In this way, accessibility is increased because people with speech impairment can also use Siri. However, this function also comes in handy if you simply prefer to type than speak to the voice assistant aloud.
Here’s how you can type Siri questions:
- Open the Settings app;
- Tap “General”;
- Select ‘Accessibility’;
- Search for Siri;
- Set the switch behind ‘type questions to Siri’ to green.
Once you’ve completed the above steps, you can simply activate Siri by holding down the home button (or the side button on the iPhone XS and iPhone XR ). After that, the well-known Siri screen appears and a keyboard where you can ask your question. As long as you stay in this window, it is possible to use Siri without saying a word.
