Telfort Xiaomi smartphones are now also available Android has discovered. It is the first Dutch provider where the Chinese manufacturer sells their smartphones.
Telfort Xiaomi smartphones sales started
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is now available with a Telfort subscription and is sold directly through the provider. It is currently the only Xiaomi smartphone offered by the provider. The device is immediately available and is temporarily delivered with a free Xiaomi Mi Band 3. That is a smart bracelet with heart rate monitor and pedometer.
Telfort is currently the only provider that directly sells Xiaomi smartphones. There are several webshops (including Belsimpel and Mobiel.nl) that bundle separate devices with a subscription and offer. In this case, however, it seems to be a direct collaboration between Telford and Xiaomi. Xiaomi Netherlands could not comment on the new collaboration against Android and says it can not yet share any further plans at this time.
Xiaomi in the Netherlands: cautious start
Xiaomi is one of the largest telephone manufacturers in the world, selling more than one hundred million smartphones a year. The company has so far been mainly successful in the home market of China and now hopes to break through in Europe. Last year Xiaomi announced collaborations with Kruidvat and Belsimpel, and recently the manufacturer also has a small office here. We will probably hear more about Xiaomi’s plans in the Netherlands in the course of 2019.
By cooperating with Telfort, Xiaomi is likely to reach a larger audience. For the time being, the manufacturer has a small lead over Oppo and OnePlus, two other Chinese brands that have had an office in the Netherlands since last year. These two companies only sell their devices via webshops and have not yet announced any cooperation with providers.
